Rural Health Corporation of NEPA (RHC) in Wilkes-Barre added a patient van to its services. The ultramodern, handicap accessible, chair lift patient van provides patients who have limited access with transportation to RHC. This van was specifically purchased in response to the current pandemic and allows RHC to ensure the health and safety of patients. The Rohrer van comes complete with a PureAir HEPA Air Filtration System by ProAir that is specialized for keeping buses and vans safe. Additionally, the van also has an innovative Trans Mist System which disperses disinfecting spray around the entire interior of the van. When the van is unoccupied, the driver simply engages the system manually or via Bluetooth. With its automated operation, it automatically logs data to document sanitizing events. The van has the capacity to transport nine patients typically but can safely secure seating for four in a socially distanced manner.
