Family First Health’s director of new initiatives, Anika Jackson, and Berks Community Health Center's chief medical officer, Dr. Mary E. Kelleher, presented as panelists on WITF’s Toward Racial Justice series. The series of virtual community conversations is addressing systemic racism and injustice in Central Pennsylvania and beyond. Last night’s presentation discussed COVID-19, trust, and vaccines. The panel explored some of the racial disparities within the COVID-19 pandemic and looked at the hesitancy regarding vaccines in Black and Brown communities. The presentation also tackled the myths and misconceptions revolving around the COVID-19 vaccine. Click here to listen to the full presentation.
