Supporting Pennsylvania's health centers in increasing access to quality primary health care for all

Your Primary Care Media Center

Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers serves as the collective voice for Pennsylvania's Federally Qualified Health Centers (FHQCs), FQHC Look-Alikes (FQHCLAs), and non-profit Rural Health Clinics (RHCs).  Our members are unique nonprofit primary care facilities that provide a wide array of services to Pennsylvanians in underserved areas of the state. There are nearly 300 sites in 52 counties serving nearly 900,000 Pennsylvanians.  At these primary care facilities, patients will receive high quality care at a price they can afford with sliding fees based on income and family size.

Calling All FQHCs to Get Out the Vote and Support a Healthy Democracy!

PACHC and NACHC are partnering with non-profit VotER to help get out the vote in communities served by Community Health Centers   and support a healthy democracy. As part of the initiative, every health center will receive two clings (removable stickers) with QR and text codes that will direct patients, staff, vendors and supporters to a link to register to vote. We hope that you will post these clings to encourage patients and staff to participate in the democratic process. NACHC is having a state-by-state competition and PACHC--because we know we can count on you--is aiming for Pennsylvania to win by registering the largest number of new individuals to vote!!! You can learn more about VotER by visiting their website at or watch their video. Here are actions you can choose from to get started right now.

  1. Sign up for your Healthy Democracy Kits unique to your health center. There is a free digital option and a paid option if you instead want a physical version - both come with monthly reporting of how many patients you have registered.
  2. Sign up for your Free Voter Registration Posters and Patient Handouts in English and Spanish branded uniquely for your health center.
  3. Add voter registration to your email signature here
  4. Start having conversations with patients and staff using their scripts here.

If you need resources to help secure institutional approval for VotER, there are some useful resources, one pagers, and legal briefs you can share here.
