Williamsport Health Center Receives Foundation Support

Author: Amanda Tekely/Friday, February 01, 2019/Categories: Member News

Last week, River Valley Health and Dental Center  in Williamsport received an award of $400,000 from the Lycoming Community Fund at First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP).  The health center will use these funds for the purchase and equipping of a mobile care unit.  The health center currently serves over 16,000 patients at its Hepburn Street location in Williamsport but is charged with the mission of serving all residents of Lycoming County.  The custom mobile care unit is designed to be equipped with two dental operatories, one medical exam room, a waiting and administrative space, sterilization and a restroom. The mobile unit will expand the organization's reach in the community, provide initial and necessary follow-up services, and allow the health center to expand outreach beyond the dental program it currently provides to a local school district.  Congratulations to CEO Jim Yoxheimer and his team on the award and expansion of services!
