Philadelphia Health Centers Receive "Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America" Grant Funding

Last week, Delaware Valley Community Health , Esperanza Health Center , Greater Philadelphia Health Action , Philadelphia Fight , Ambulatory Health Services , Public Health Management Corporation Quality Community Health Care  and Spectrum Health Services   received funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to expand access to HIV care, treatment, medication and prevention services as part of the administration's Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America (EHE) initiative. This initiative aims to reduce the number of new HIV infections in the United States by 90% by 2030. Health centers will be identifying at-risk individuals and providing preventive services, including testing for HIV and prescribing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) when appropriate.
