Officials from the PA Departments of Human Services and Health visited York-based Family First Health , one of the state's Opioid Use Disorder Centers of Excellence (OUD-COEs). The OUD-COEs focus on ensuring that patients with substance use disorder can receive whole person, quality care. The officials were able to meet with the COE staff, including providers who work with patients daily, to hear the true scope of the day-to-day life of what working in a COE looks like for providers and other staff. Family First Health CEO Jenny Englerth shared, "The goal of treating the whole person with a substance use disorder falls in line with the collaborative care work already going on at Family First Health sites. As an inclusive health care model, we are driven by community need. We want happy, healthy patients who can live better lives in better health."
