Wayne Health Center Receives Immunization Champion Award

Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC)   was presented with a 2018 Pennsylvania Immunization Champion Award during the 24th Annual PA Immunization Conference hosted by Penn State College of Medicine and the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) on Aug. 16. The award honors organizations and individuals for exemplary work in creating enhanced vaccine administration systems leading to improved overall immunization rates. WMCHC's nomination recognized Michelle Corrigan, RN, wellness & clinical care coordinator, and Sarah Mickel, LPN, vaccine coordinator, for revamping the organization's immunization policies and procedures, recommending the purchase of pharmaceutical grade refrigerators and freezers and implementing Digital Data Loggers across all WMCHC sites.
