Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education Awarded $9 Million

The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton has received three grants totaling $9,088,536 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The money will be used to train doctors in residency and cover needs such as residents' salaries, faculty support and health information technology. The center provides medical residency training for primary care physicians in northeast Pennsylvania and across the country through the Health Resources and Services Administration's Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education initiative.
