Primary Health Network's School-Based Erie Site Highlighted

A Feb. 28 GoErie article discusses the thriving center Primary Health Network   established in Erie in 2015. The site was originally a school-based health center, but the school was closed in June as part of reconfiguration by the school district. According to PHN, Wayne Primary Care is still treating plenty of patients. The site originally opened in 2012 as a school-based health center under the management of UPMC Hamot, then known as Hamot Medical Center, with $470,470 in funding from the Department of Health and Human Services. Hamot transferred control of the office to PHN in 2015. Because of the consistent growth in patients, PHN is planning to relocate the health center within the next year to allow room to expand.
