Insurance Department Fingerprinting Changes

Effective Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, the Pennsylvania Insurance Department began using the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's new supplier of digital fingerprinting, IndentoGo, for FBI criminal background checks.  During the initial roll-out period, there will be 75 public center fingerprint locations available throughout Pennsylvania, with even more locations to be added in the future.  New enrollment assisters must complete the registration process and get fingerprinted.  Renewing assisters do not need to get fingerprinted again, but will receive a notice in the mail with instructions to complete the form and send the renewal fee of $1.00 before their registration expires.  Click here to see the announcement on the fingerprinting process changes.

PACHC Enrollment Assisters Database

Please make PACHC outreach and enrollment coordinator Lucy Molina aware of any changes in staff for the PACHC Enrollment Assister Database. This includes any new assisters, removal of assisters, PLUS the new certification period for certified application counselors (CACS) and Navigators.  It is also important to enter enrollment information in the database in a timely fashion to assist with health center reporting, tracking, trend identification, analysis and benchmarking.

Marketplace Open Enrollment Numbers

Since Open Enrollment began on Nov. 1, more than 2.2 million consumers signed-up for health coverage through the HealthCare.gov platform or had their coverage automatically renewed, including nearly 102,000 Pennsylvanians. Of the about 2.2 million Marketplace consumers, almost 566,000 were new to the marketplace.  With just 14 days left to enroll, assisters are still working hard to enroll as many consumers as possible.
