U.S. Census Bureau Seeks Census Partners

The U.S. Census Bureau is looking for Census partners, which are vital to ensuring a complete and accurate count. As trusted voices in your communities, health centers can play a key role in raising awareness that the 2020 Census is easy, safe and important. To help Census partners effectively engage their communities, the U.S. Census Bureau offers materials about the 2020 Census that can be shared with the public and that explain what partners can do to contribute. The 2020 Census will count everyone who lives in the U.S. as of April 1, 2020 (Census Day). Census statistics help determine the number of seats each state holds in the U.S. House of Representatives and how billions of dollars in federal funds will be allocated by state, local and federal lawmakers every year for the next 10 years. Pennsylvania stands to lose as much as $2,093 annually for each resident who goes uncounted in the 2020 Census.
